Special Prayers

Here are a few people I've been praying for lately. I wanted to share their circumstances on this blog in hopes that those that come across it will lift them up with me! 

I Thessalonians 5:17 Never stop praying. 

 Mommy, Deedra, is carrying Baby Sadie Rae. Sadie has been prenatally diagnosed with congenital heart defects: Aortic Valve Stenosis and Stenotic Dilation of the Ascending Aorta. and has been trying to make an early appearance! Please keep them in your prayers for healing and for Sadie to continue to grow and develop in Mommy's tummy as long as she needs to.

A coworker friend of mine requested prayers for little Ryan. What struck me immediately about him is that he is the same age as my baby boy, Bryce. Ryan is a happy baby who always carries a sweet smile in his pictures, just like my Bryce does. I can't imagine what his parents are going through right now. Ryan was diagnosed with Leukemia (AML) at only 5 and half months old in June. He just finished his first chemo treatment (mostly with smiles) and has been battling a fever and various other things since. Ryan's family has shirts for sale if you would like to purchase one to help this family. Please pray for healing, comfort, and remission for this child and family!

It's funny how you become connected to people. Felicia was my dad's nurse through his radiation treatment, and it turns out she is one of my coworker/friend's sister in law. Felicia has two very young children and is battling leukemia. She has spent a lot of time at MD Anderson away from her family, and will be continuing treatment involving a stem cell transplant soon. Thankfully, Felicia was able to come home recently to celebrate her youngest daughter's first birthday! God is great! Please pray for healing, comfort, and remission for this sweet lady and her family.

Please pray for Chelsie who recently lost her baby, Taylor, and Trisha who recently lost her baby, Elias. Both losses were due to cystic hygromas.

Please also pray for Blake and Killian. Blake is having brain surgery on Thursday, and Killian is an amazing little guy who is fighting to live right now.

For many different reasons, these children need God's touch and healing only he can give. Please do pray for each of them. If I left anyone off by mistake, please let me know and I will add them A.S.A.P.!

In Honor of Molly Kasik

Please be in prayer for Erin Kasik and her family as they continue to grieve for their precious angel, Molly. 

Please pray for grieving mothers...

Please be with all mothers who are grieving right now God. Please heal their hearts in a way that only you can. Please help them to feel your presence God, and let them know you are holding each of their children in your arms at this very moment Father. Please give them a peace that surpasses understanding, and when they are at their weakest, please fill them with your strength and hold them Lord. Show them their children have a purpose Father, and lead them in knowing you can get them through anything. Lord bless them and keep them daily. Amen.

Lord, we ask that you surround these children and their families. We ask for complete healing over their bodies Father, and that you will touch each of them helping their bodies and minds to function beautifully. We pray, God, that will you be with each specific situation and give each child what he or she needs most in this very moment. Please hold each child on a daily basis that he or she will fulfill his or her purpose in you God. We pray for the doctors, nurses, and medical staff that oversee each child's care- please touch them and guide their hands and minds Father. We thank you for the blessing each of these children is to this world, especially their families, and pray they will each know you in a close and personal way dear God. Continue to heal Father and continue to reveal your unconditional love Father. We praise you for what you have done and what you will do! It is in your precious Son's name we pray dear Lord, Amen.

Baby Juliana

Little Juliana is recovering from OHS in PICU right now. She had her aortic coarctation repaired. We are hoping to see her off the vent in the next day or so! Please continue to pray for her as her journey continues.


Baby Brooklyn

This little angel was just born, and doctors are preparing a plan to repair her heart...Brooklyn has HLHS. She seems to be doing very well so far! Please lift this family up through this time of repair and healing.


Baby Emma

As you can tell, Miss Emma hasn't joined us on the outside just yet! I can tell from her photo that she is a total doll though! Please pray for her and her family as they prepare for her grand entrance this Friday, June 24th! Emma has been diagnosed with TS, and heart and other issues are unknown at this point. We are hoping for a smooth delivery and perfect health for this little one!


Baby Avery

Miss Avery is still awaiting her arrival as well. Her mommy and daddy have had a long, difficult journey in having a child. Little Avery is their precious, miracle girl who is going to fill their lives with unexplainable joy in the months to come. Avery beat a cystic hygroma recently and has been diagnosed with TS. Please continue to pray for a safe and healthy arrival for this little girl. Of course, she holds a special place in my ♥ not only because of her name, but because of the way God brought Jenna and I together and the fact that her picture looks exactly like my Avery!!


Baby Molly

The picture above, of course, is not of Baby Molly, but of Molly's mommy, Erin! Erin is due to have Molly in a couple of months. While Molly beat a cystic hygroma, she has TS and has coarctation of the aorta. Please pray for this family as they await Miss Molly's birth, and for the heart issues she will face when she gets here.


Miss Riley

You can read this miracle girl's story on this blog. She has endured so very much in her short life. There have been new developments in Riley's condition recently, and I know mom, Angee, is concerned. Please pray for peace for this family, and that Riley will have good reports in her upcoming appointments.



Miss Ava

Miss Ava has TS, along with aortic coarctation and bicuspid aortic valve. She recently had a bad cardiology appointment and dilation of aortic root and ascending aortic valve were found. Ava returns to the Dr. for another look in a couple of months. Please remember her, and pray for the best possible outcome.

Prayers for Baby Noah!

Please keep Baby Noah in your prayers.

Noah has AVSD Complete. He has a large hole between his atria as well as another between his ventricles. His mitral and tricuspid valves are common and never completely formed. This causes him to have very rapid respirations, which mother, Christy, picked up on when he was 12 days old. He will need open heart surgery to repair holes and separate the valves. (You know how overwhelming all if this is. Both Christy & and Noah's father, Jason, are in the medical field.)
It seems the surgery will need to be sooner than first thought. Noah needs to weigh 10-11 lbs. before they can perform surgery. He is currently 7lb.3oz. Please pray for God's timing and protection for surgery...before, during and after. Also pray that God gives Christy and Jason the strength to endure what is facing them.


God bless you for your unselfishness in thinking and praying for others. I know this family deeply appreciates it.

Pray for Caroline!

Miss Caroline and her family are heading to Pennsylvania from Mississippi to endure another heart surgery. Please keep them in your prayers through travel, surgery, and recovery!

Pray for Rosie!

Rosie's cleft palate repair is set for this Wednesday. Please pray that she can have the operation this time and that all goes well.

Pray for Sydney!!

Please remember Sydney in your prayers through the next few weeks. Dr. Ebeid and Dr. Salazar will perform the Hybrid procedure on her this week. Her surgery was postponed a few weeks ago due to her having an awful virus. They will be inserting large stints, and checking out a few other problems during a 4-8 hour surgery. Thank you for your prayers for this very special little girl!

Prayer Request: The Spears Family

I've recently come in contact with one amazing couple who have endured (and are still enduring) a great deal. I ask that you lift Jenna, Brent, and Baby Avery up that God may heal this child and grant them their deep desire for a very special child. I feel that God made a special connection here between Jenna and I, and hope that He gives her the same peace and strength that he gave me through my experience with my own Avery. Avery, Jenna and Brent's unborn child, has a large cystic hygroma and has been diagnosed with TS. They have also been told she will have heart issues. Every life has an important and specific purpose and impact on this world, no matter how brief. Thank you to all who prayed for this precious child. Little LeAnna fought very hard to stay with us, but God decided it was time to call her home.
Please continue to lift parents, Anna and Jeremy, up in prayer as they find a way through their grief. Funeral services were held this morning.

Dear Lord,
Please help this family in this time of loss and overwhelming grief. We don't understand why life can be filled with this pain and heartache.We will wait on you and not despair; We will quietly wait for your salvation. Our hearts may be crushed, but we know that you will not abandon us forever. Please show Anna and Jeremy your compassion, Lord. Help them through the pain so that they will hope in you again. We believe this promise in your Word to send us fresh mercy each day. Though they may not be able to see past today, we trust your great love will never fail them.

Prayers Please

While so many of us have so very much to be thankful for this Christmas, others, while thankful, are going through (or preparing for) difficult times. Please be in continued prayer for those in need, and remember just how fortunate we are to have a God who loves us and hears us when we call on him.




Baby Leanna: The process has begun to take LeAnna off ECMO. They say it could take up to 4.5 hours to complete. The family is not allowed in during this. She has been fighting sepsis and pneumonia, and they discovered a brain bleed last night.



Little Caroline: Caroline has had two open heart surgeries in her short time here (2 1/2 years) and has one to go. Her family is planning on traveling to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the end of February or the first part of March for Caroline's surgery. During this time, Caroline's parents will both will be out of work. They are selling t-shirts in order to raise money to help pay their bills back home, for food, and to pay for their stay at the Ronald McDonald House. The t-shirts are $15. Sweet Sydney: Sydney (who has William's Syndrome) will be having a OHS through a hybrid procedure done in the OR at Batson as soon as February. They will be placing large stints in her arteries to open them up because the ballooning in the cath lab is no longer working. I will be posting more on Sydney and her story soon.

Baby Leanna

Please be in fervent prayer for baby Leanna right now. She had OHS on Tuesday, and has had many complications since. She has been on and off life support, on kidney dialysis, ECMO, and is now fighting a blood infection. Her life is very delicate right now, and she desperately needs to be lifted up to the ultimate Healer. There is a food drive going on for her family today at the Pearl Brandon Wal-Mart through MS Mended Little Hearts at 3:00 P.M. Her family is staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Jackson, and also has 2 other young children.

Update

Baby Leanna Update:
LeAnna had the cath today, they weren't satisfied with the results, so the cath has been left in as there will be another in the very near future. She lost a lot of blood so she is getting a transfusion now.
There will definately be a valve replacement in her future.

New...Baby Bryon Added to Prayer List:
Bryon, 2 months old, has a chd called Truncus arteriousis. He has had two Open heart surgeries, the first at 8 days old and the second in just the past few days. This family lives 4 hours away from the BEBCH and is staying at RMH. Mom, Nannette Pounders, who is a nurse, was prenatally diagnosed. Please keep this family in your prayers as well.

Baby Leanna

Please keep precious newborn, Leanna, in your prayers. She was born 7 weeks early and it has been discovered she has a CHD. She was supposed to be going home, and ended up taking a turn for the worse. Please send prayers up for her, her family, and all involved.

Baby LeAnna

Please be in prayer for Baby LeAnna and her mother Anna. She is 7 weeks premature born with CHD. She is currently in the hospital.
